Germany on Saturday downgraded Spain from a high-risk area to at-risk. This is due to the positive development of the trend of Corona infected. The 7-day incidence in Spain as a whole is below 200, which corresponds to a risk area, according to the RKI.
Yet the Balearic Islands themselves are much better off, with a 7-day incidence even below 50.
What exactly the downgrade means for travelers: They do not have to take a Corona test BEFORE entering Germany, but have 48 hours after landing to take it at any location after entry. Rapid tests are accepted.
The obligation of a negative PCR test on entry AFTER Spain remains. This test must be available before departure, must not be older than 72 hours and must show the ID number as well as the name. A test in English, German, French and Spanish is accepted.
In addition, a digital entry form must be filled out BEFORE entering both countries.
