Drivers and motorcyclists on Mallorca should stick to the rules better: The island council has now announced plans to install 70 more traffic cameras on the island's roads. Seventeen of these alone are to be installed on the MA-10 in the Tramuntana mountains; the cameras are equipped with license plate readers and sound level meters.
In the past, illegal car and motorcycle races have repeatedly taken place on this route. The intelligent traffic systems are primarily intended to help make traffic on the island safer.
